Larissa works as a Research Officer at the Wales Centre for Public Policy. She is currently working on the Children Looked After, Volunteering and Wellbeing, and Loneliness in Wales projects.
Her earlier work has including studies on gender representation, electoral financing, public security, universal healthcare infrastructure, and multilevel bureaucracies. Larissa’s research interests are vast and include multiple academic publications, conference presentations and working with the media on communicating her research outcomes to the public.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (2009), and a Master’s (2012) and a PhD (2019) in Political Science, all from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. She is a member of the Institute for Globally Distributed Open Research and Education (IGDORE) and co-hosts the Brazil Nuts podcast.
